FC-R31S Polymer high-temperature retarder
• FC-R31S is a type of polymer high-temperature retarder.
• FC-R31S can effectively extend the thickening time of cement slurry, with strong regularity, and has no impact on other properties of cement slurry.
• FC-R31S develops rapidly on the strength of set cement, and does not exceed the retarding of the top of isolation interval.
• FC-R31S is applicable to slurry preparation of fresh water, salt water and sea water.
FC-R31S decreases the rate of cement hydration, acting in a manner opposite to that of accelerators. They are used at High Temperatures to allow time for mixing and placement of the Cement Slurry.

Retarders are used to counteract the accelerated effect of high temperatures on establishing the properties of concrete in hot climates. Retarders are a mixture that slows down the chemical process of hydration so that the concrete remains pliable and usable for a long time. Retarder can successfully extend the period that cement slurry thickens in order to guarantee a successful cementing procedure.
